Vintage TV best shows to watch while high

16 Best Shows To Watch After You’ve Taken a Gummy

By Dan Ketchum

Like wine and cheese, like peanut butter and chocolate, like Elizabeth and Darcy, some things are just better together- and that definitely includes a good gummy and a deliciously binge-able TV show. There’s no shame in vegging out to the reruns of The Price Is Right when you’re a little lofted, but let’s dig a little deeper, shall we?

These are the very best shows to watch high, perfectly paired with Camino gummies that don’t just match the vibe, but elevate the entire viewing (and snacking, and chilling) experience.

Take a Televised Trip

OK, so TV shows might not have the budget of the most 420-friendly psychedelic feature films, but in our golden age of streaming prestige television, your choices for sumptuous visuals, striking soundscapes and heady narratives on the small screen are richer than ever. And every good high deserves an equally high-brow viewing experience.

  • Animation and gummy elevation- they just go hand-in-hand. Few animated series are headier than Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots (2019), whether you’re talking visually or conceptually. From fantasy to surreal sci-fi to unknowable horror, this animated anthology is a thinker and a looker.

  • For a trip that’s both literal and metaphorical, the Planet Earth series has become something of a stoner staple. In Planet Earth III (2023) — a sweeping, big-budget nature documentary series that takes you from visiting a family of ostriches in the Namib desert to following sea turtles in tropical shallows- the only thing loftier than your sense of visual euphoria is Sir David Attenborough’s iconic narration.

  • In the early-to-mid ‘90s, nothing was cooler (or weirder) than MTV’s experimental Liquid Television (1991). Each episode features a casually cutting-edge smorgasbord of a dozen or so short animations, so you never know if you’re going to get the seminally cool anime Æon Flux, a stick figure interpretation of Madonna’s “Express Yourself,” early Beavis and Butthead, or a Faith No More music video. It’s the best kind of video roulette!

  • With Twin Peaks (1990), creators David Lynch and Mark Frost cemented the notion of prestige TV. Agent Dale Cooper’s investigation of a mysterious prom queen’s murder in a sleepy PNW town blends charmingly esoteric characters, oodles of surrealism, a legit mystery tale, and a palpably thick atmosphere. Despite every episode feeling like a dream analysis and meditation on the evils of man, Twin Peaks’ slow, indulgent small-town feel makes for a weirdly cozy watch, which brings us to...

Pair With: When it’s time to bliss out to opulent visuals and mind-bending stories, reach for Camino Watermelon Lemonade ‘Bliss,’ a light, balanced high that’ll let the trippy TV do the talking – while heightening every audiovisual aspect, of course.

Best Cozy Shows to Watch While High

These are the shows for when you’re in soft clothes, wrapped up snug as a bug in a rug (maybe with your favorite person), and fully stocked on warm bevvies and cheat-day snacks. And you know exactly what else goes with that kind of day. (Hint: it’s a gummy.)

  • Downton Abbey (2010) is the birdwatching of TV shows. It’s the crocheting on a rainy day of TV shows. It’s the falling asleep in fresh-out-of-the-dryer sheets of TV shows. It’s all the warmth you could ask for from a 4K flatscreen.

  • We’ve got one hard rule concerning Over the Garden Wall (2014): you are only allowed to watch this delightful animated series in autumn (and preferably every autumn). Wirt and Gregory’s whimsical forest jaunts are the fall season embodied, from the austere colors to the cozy clothes to the unexplainable feeling that something mysterious is lurking just beyond the veil.

  • Promise we’re not gonna make a “this sparks joy” joke, but Netflix’s Tidying Up with Marie Kondo (2019) does make us happy. Watching a space go from cluttered and chaotic to perfectly minimalist and pleasingly zen makes the show feel more like Tidying Up Your Brain with Marie Kondo.

  • If you’re not familiar with Joe Pera Talks With You (2018), you’re welcome. An indescribably chill modern-day, mumblecore Mr. Rogers, Joe Pera is the coziest, most wholesome hang imaginable. Episode one? In “Joe Pera Sits With You,” Joe takes you and his best friend Gene to a furniture store to pick out a “retirement chair” for his best friend. Episode two? Joe shows you his second fridge. Now that’s television.

Pair With: For cozy TV, there can be no snugger pairing than Camino Wild Berry ‘Chill.’ Let the calming, indica-like terpenes wash over you as you sink into the couch and the vibe alike.

Get a Little Giggly

Far be it from us to lean into old stereotypes, but sometimes, you do want to pop a gummy, become one with the couch, and watch something really dang funny on TV. Comedies and weed are a timeless pairing, and you might want to pair that pairing with a pizza delivery, too. Just lean into that classic giggly high and let it happen.

  • With 16 seasons and counting, Bob’s Burgers (2011) is the ol’ reliable of the modern animated sitcom era, The Simpsons of its time (if The Simpsons wasn’t still The Simpsons of its time). Like King of the Hill before it, the very human, deeply relatable (and deeply weird) working-class drama of Bob’s is reliably funny too. Over 200 episodes in, and Bob still hasn’t jumped the shark.

  • Speaking of reliably funny and insanely long-running, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005) aired its 18th season in 2026, and it still hasn’t lost its gaspingly offensive edge. It’s one of the most meme-able and quotable (“You don't wanna wash the bar with a water-based liquid!”) shows of all time, and Charlie, Mac, Dee, and Frank manage to remain both your dream blunt rotation and nightmare blunt rotation all at the same time. Or in this case, gummy rotation.

  • Iron Chef (1993) is not a comedy, but it is pure, distilled, chaotic, campy, over-the-top joy. The mysterious President Kaga – always dressed like David Bowie if he were a supervillain – hosts the world’s best chefs in a timed reality-TV competition to create masterpiece meals on the fly with mystery ingredients in what can only be described as Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome meets The Great British Bake Off, complete with a vintage martial arts movie-like English dub. Bless Tubi for streaming this for free.

  • Something about Tim Robinson’s comedic stylings in I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (2019) makes you feel like you’re high even when you’re not. Absurdism through the lens of suburban mediocrity has never been this funny, nor has it ever been this uncomfortably cringey. If you don’t get it at first, just stick with it and trust us: it’s a vibe.

Pair With: Nothing is as uplifting as the power of laughter – except maybe Camino Sours Watermelon Spritz ‘Uplifting’ gummies. With a punchy 10mg of THC, think of ‘Uplifting’ as a primer for laughter.
