Camino Curated: 25 Movies That Pair Perfectly With a Gummy

Good cinema, of course, dazzles by nature — and with a dose of hemp-derived THC in the mix, the impact can reach new sensory heights, whether it’s a movie you’ve never seen before or one you’re putting on for what feels like the hundredth time.

Here, we’ve put together our favorite movie and gummy combos for every mood (and every type of movie lover). So, whether you’re looking for trippy movies, funny movies to watch high, or just the straight-up best movies to watch high, we’ve got recommendations for you.

Certified Mind-Blowers

Full of visual spectacle, brain-altering twists, and deep thoughts that’ll make you say “Whoa” like Neo (honorable mention to that mind-melter The Matrix, of course), trippy movies are a good gummy’s best friend. Movies like this make you feel like you’re high even before you’ve had your first gummy – and once you partake, it’s off to the races.

  • Sure, Enter The Void (2009) is a movie about a drug dealer. It’s also a movie about that drug dealer’s soul leaving his body and dragging you on a nearly three-hour psychedelic trip with more colors and flashing lights than you could possibly imagine. It’s heady, philosophical AND spiritual- a true triple-header.

  • You can’t have a list of the best movies to watch high without a touch of surrealism, and that’s what Fantastic Planet (1973) is for. The aliens are huge, the humans are tiny, and the timeless visuals are an absolute trip.

  • If you’ve somehow missed Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), it’s time to find out why it’s often considered one of the greatest films ever made. Stick with it for the last 20 minutes and you’ll also find out why it’s the grandaddy of all trippy movies.

  • Who says trippy movies can’t also be educational? Bring a documentary into the rotation with Samsara (2012), a completely nonverbal meditation that spans five years and twenty-five countries, chronicling everything from sacred rituals to natural disasters in a visually sumptuous ultrawide format. Don’t expect a plot- just climb aboard the journey.

  • You know what, to tell you anything about where this wild quasi-dystopian satire goes would just ruin it for you (and you probably wouldn’t believe us anyway). Just get high, watch Sorry to Bother You (2018), and thank us later.

Pair With: Pop a Camino Watermelon Lemonade ‘Bliss’, and you might just experience sound and vision in ways you never thought possible – it’s our favorite gummy for bringing euphoric vibes, and for making trippy movies all the trippier, in a good way.

Green and Giggly

With just the right selection of funny movies to watch and a gummy in hand, you can experience giggly bliss for way less than the price of a movie ticket (which is approximately $250, last we checked).

  • Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) is a movie that’s impossible to feel bad watching. Just let the cusp of the ‘90s goodness, garage rock goofiness, and prime Keanu wash over you. And as always, be excellent to each other.

  • A modern cult movie that deserves every bit of its cult status, Galaxy Quest (1999) is just a solid comedy, blending sharp satire of Trekkies, fandom, and TV culture with a cast that hits every note and then some. Hilarious any day of the week, but extra funny when high (like, well, everything?).

  • Some of the best highs are goofy, giggly, and maybe…kinda sexy? Sixties sci-fi sex comedy romp Barbarella (1968), starring the irreplaceable Jane Fonda, is very much all of that. In fact, it’s just very much, period. Worth an edible for the sets and costumes alone

  • Sometimes, the thing you need to go with your edible is a good bad movie to laugh at, and that’s exactly what Anaconda (1997) is (don’t bother with the recent remake – the original’s currently free on Tubi). Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez fight a giant snake in the jungles of the Amazon. If that logline doesn’t require a gummy, we don’t know what does.

Pair With:  A good comedy is all about opening up and sharing laughs with the people you love. And that’s exactly what Camino Sparkling Pear ‘Social’ gummies are for, too.

2026 Oscar Noms

There are the best movies to watch high, and then there are the best movies, period. And this is where the two meet. If you’re more of a Criterion Channel person than a Tubi person (personally, we like a good balance of both), settle in for a marathon of what the Academy voters settled on as the best of the best of 2025. These cuts hit particularly nicely when you’re a little lofted.

  • A ‘50s period piece about a table tennis player, Marty Supreme (nominated for Best Actor and Best Director), doesn’t seem like a “best movie to watch high” kind of movie on paper. But something about watching that ping-pong ball go back and forth while going on an insane ride from the creators of Uncut Gems just works.

  • Nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Weapons is all about vibes. The concept – all of the children from the same classroom suddenly disappear one night except for one – is one of those head scratchers that makes high people go, “duuuuuude,” plus the tone just pulls you in from the first frame.

  • You know the story of Frankenstein, but you haven’t seen it as Guillermo del Toro’s 2025 adaptation portrays it, nor have you seen it when you’re a little lit! A luxuriant embrace of old-school sets, costumes, makeup, and practical effects makes this one pop even more when you pop a gummy.

  • For a compact experience, try all 17 minutes of Best Animated Short Film nominee, The Girl Who Cried Pearls. Stop motion looks wild when you’re high, and the imagery in this wistful love story – including a girl who, literally, cries pearls from her eye – is downright entrancing.

Pair With: As always, the 2026 Oscar noms run the gamut, but a Kiva Dark Chocolate Bar pairs perfectly with the luxury vibe of the ceremony. Each of the 20 squares of this sustainably sourced dark cacao bar packs 5mg of hemp-derived THC, so you can dose – and indulge – as the movie mood strikes you.

Feel More Love

Sometimes, two things that make you feel good also go great together, and that’s doubly true when it comes to rom-coms and your favorite gummies. Romances are best experienced with an open heart – they’re good vibes captured on celluloid, and we know one thing that can make the vibes even better.

  • It’s a rom-com, it’s a trippy movie, it’s one of those thinkers that feels even deeper when you’re high. It’s Groundhog Day (1993), a lightly philosophical take on the romantic comedy with a touch of the surreal and peak Bill Murray.

  • If Groundhog Day is surreal, Punch-Drunk Love (2002) – another dramatic turn from a comedic actor, this time Adam Sandler, paired with the underrated Emily Watson – is a genuine oddity. In turns quietly and wildly funny, it’s ultimately a touching story about lonely, flawed people finding shelter in one another

  • Everyone knows music is better high, which is why High Fidelity (2000), a rom-com that takes place in a record store and features an absolute banger of a soundtrack, makes the list. Crank up that surround sound and enjoy cuts from The Velvet Underground, Stereolab, Aretha Franklin, Barry White, and way more. No pun intended with the title.

  • It is impossible to feel anything less than ebullient after watching Amélie (2001). The hypercolored visuals and quirky, modern fairy tale-esque imagery pair wonderfully with a gummy, as does the sense of pure whimsy and delight.

Pair With: Open your heart with Camino Wild Cherry ‘Excite’ for an uplifting, energizing vibe. If you didn’t feel the love before the gummy, you definitely will after.

Horror Highs

Horror flicks can be among the most trippy movies, largely because they’re experiences that allow us to just let ourselves go, to empathize so deeply with fiction that we jump, scream, and hide under the covers. If you’re ready to take that sort of openness to the next level, a Camino gummy is your ticket to ride. Just make sure you’re prepared

  • Ever had a high where you experience time dilation? When you lock into a moment so deeply you come out the other side saying, “Did that just happen?” Modern psychological horror classic Midsommar (2019) is that, but a movie

  • What is reality? What’s fake? Who am I? Who are you? Perfect Blue (1997) smashes you all the way down the rabbit hole and out the other side in a gorgeously animated slasher about stalkers and shattered identities.

  • When you want to get elevated and experience absolute dread, jump scares, and the most potent horror-per-second you can get, The Descent (2005) is your movie. An all-women cast of seasoned spelunkers delves into a claustrophobic, unexplored underground cave. Spoilers: they are not alone.

  • Getting high and delving into a deep conspiracy theory just feels right (and very, very wrong). The ominous opulence of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) psycho-sexual cult imagery is an absolute vibe whether you’re not high, a little high, or extremely high.

  • For the visuals and score (by Italian prog rockers, Goblin) alone, Dario Argento’s Suspiria (1977) feels like a movie that you shouldn’t even be allowed to watch without a gummy. A killer stalks the halls of a ballerina academy, but the real stars of the show are the uncanny neon lighting, maximalist set design, and constant barrage of painterly, surrealistic imagery. “Trippy movie” doesn’t even begin to describe Suspiria.

Pair With: When it comes to horror, you want to be locked in, focused, and open to unexpected experiences – and it helps to feel a centering sensation holding your hand, too. Consider Camino Wild Berry ‘Chill’ your partner (and security blanket) for creepy chillers.

Classic “Stoner” Vibes

Some movies have become inseparable from cannabis culture, and whether it’s because they have to do with a liberal amount of partaking or they just have that indefinable stoner vibe, we’re going to embrace that. Especially because, as it turns out, this particular handful of green-friendly flicks also just so happen to be solid classics that always go down easy.

  • Friday (1995) isn’t perfect, but it’s all vibes, and it’s a stone-cold stoner classic that totally encapsulates everything good (and everything kinda crass) about the ‘90s. A throwback to a time when you needed a dealer – nowadays, we can just “Puff, puff, give” or click, click, order!

  • If THC had a poster boy, it would have to be Jeff Bridges’ The Dude. The Big Lebowski (1998) is iconic for a reason: it’s an immaculate and irreverent comedy masterwork from the unbeatable Coen brothers, with a perfect dose of absurdity throughout.

  • Johnny Depp may have lost it, but there was a time when he was the coolest – and Hunter S. Thompson, the subject and author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), will always be in style. We don’t recommend getting nearly as zooted as Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo, but you can pop a gummy and live vicariously.

  • It had to be here. Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused (1993) is the de facto stoner movie, from the Foghat to the sex humor to the convo about how much weed George Washington (theoretically) smoked.

  • If Dazed and Confused is the expected choice, let’s balance the scales with a sleeper in Inherent Vice (2014). Paul Thomas Anderson’s Venice Beach period piece makes you feel just as high as its private detective, “Doc” Sportello, constantly is. Makes a great double feature with Lebowski for inept sleuths who are in way over their heads.

Pair With: A stoner classic calls for a high-dose gummy, and that’s exactly what you’re getting with Camino Sours Watermelon Spritz ‘Uplifting.’ With 10mg hemp-derived THC per gummy, you’ll be locked in, elevated, and enlivened.
