Terpenes

In order to dial in the desired effects we used plant-based terpenes, which give us the thorough control we need to create the distinct experiences of Camino’s flavors.

Alpha-Pinene

Due to its high prevalence in nature, Alpha-Pinene is one of the most studied terpenes out there. When paired with cannabis, Alpha-Pinene has been shown to counteract some of the negatively associated side effects of THC like memory loss, and instead improves attention span to deliver a more lucid and focused experience.

Limonene

Despite its name, Limonene smells more like oranges than limes, and is commonly added to food, perfumes, and medicines both for flavor and for its functional properties. Studies in mice have shown that when consumed, Limonene metabolizes into a compound that significantly reduces stress. From a therapeutic standpoint, Limonene has been shown to alleviate asthma and allergies, reduce inflammation, and act as an antioxidant.

Linalool

Linalool has both anti-anxiety and sedating effects, depending on the level of concentration. Found naturally in lavender, people have been using the plant as a sleep-aid for centuries by placing a bundle underneath their pillow before bedtime.

Beta-Caryophyllene

Beta-Caryophyllene is both a terpene and a cannabinoid?  In 2008 researchers discovered that this terpene also interacts with the body’s endo-cannabinoid system.     Love Kiva

    I love Kiva gummies. I tried them first on a visit to California. I then found a company online that would send them a my state. The price is a little too high. But, the gummies are good. They give you a buzz but you can still function. I’ve tried most of them. They are all great.

    The perfect boost of energy coupled with a heightened sense of alertness. The gummies take about 2 hours to fully kick in, and last around 8-10 hours. Also, I like airtight containers and store them in the refrigerator. The taste is sweet and no lingering after taste.

    I wish they had a subscription program available similar to Amazon.
